LEITI Strengthens Staff Capacity and Interdepartmental Collaboration Ahead of FY 2026

The Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (LEITI) held an internal workshop today, Friday, 30th January 2026, to strengthen staff capacity to understand departmental roles and functions, thereby enhancing collaboration across departments, and strengthening EITI implementation for fiscal year 2026. This interactive session brought together team members to deepen their understanding of LEITI’s mandate, improve internal communication, and align strategies for effective EITI implementation.

Through presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises, staff explored innovative ways to boost interdepartmental collaboration and strengthen work ethic, thereby enhancing the secretariat's efforts to cultivate transparency and accountability in Liberia’s extractive sector. The workshop also provided a platform for sharing ideas, fostering teamwork, and reinforcing LEITI’s commitment to openness and inclusivity.

The internal workshop also allowed the Secretariat to discuss and finalize workplan activities for fiscal 2026, including plans to strengthen LEITI outreach and to visualize and interpret LEITI data to improve understanding of data from our reports, among others.
